Pope Francis is the 266th and current Pope of the Catholic Church, which also makes him the Bishop of Rome and the Sovereign of the Vatican City. He was born George Marius Bergoglio on December 17, 1936 in the Argentine to Italian parents Marius and Regina Bergoglio.
